28. View from the sundeck, looking north-east. Our 'sundeck' is actually quite shady!In the far distance, the snow-capped mountains of the Cascade range can be seen through
the trees (more clearly in winter, when the leaves have fallen). About a mile away
is the half-mile wide Fraser River; between us and the river run both a freeway
and the CN railroad. So we get plenty of ambient noise from cars, trucks,
